Our Stay

Nestled among rolling green fields, Harland Rise Chapel is a meticulously restored heritage-listed gem, blending 19th-century charm with modern comforts. Originally built in the 1830s as a Sunday School for local farm children, this beautifully transformed chapel now offers a serene, adults-only retreat on a working farm just five minutes from the historic village of Evandale.

Step inside and feel the warmth of handcrafted timber furnishings, salvaged antique elements, and the inviting ambience of a space lovingly brought back to life. Wake up to breathtaking valley views, the peaceful sounds of native birds, and, in spring, the sight of lambs playing in the fields.

Guests describe Harland Rise as a "relaxation gem," with its tranquil setting, fresh country air, and immersive history. Whether you’re exploring Evandale’s charming cottages and Sunday markets, unwinding by the fire pit under a starlit sky, or taking a private tour of the estate’s heritage buildings, your stay here will be nothing short of unforgettable.

  • We had a most enjoyable stay at the chapel. The fresh bread and jam etc were delicious and lasted for our four nights stay. It was one of the best appointed places we have stayed. Great views and very quiet. Only a short drive from Evandale would highly recommend. Peter went out of his way to show us the property and history.
